Work with B!

This blog is a hobby, a labour of love alongside a proper job and being a mummy to Baby A, but I am always interested in opportunities to work with my favourite brands, and those I haven’t tried yet, however, I am very particular about how I get involved with gluten free companies, so please bear this in mind when contacting me.

  • I typically don’t review free product samples on my blog, although I am always interested to try new products/services and offer my opinion.
  • I would be happy to include your product in a ‘Bread to Bread’ challenge – comparing it with similar products on the market, along with some of my trusty gluten-eating friends.
  • When companies do send me samples, I often incorporate them in a Kitchen Project; and am always interested in taking part in kitchen-based campaigns or challenges.
  • I like to give my readers insight into what goes on ‘behind the scenes’ at brands in Meet the Manufacturer interviews.

I am open to any other interesting suggestions you may have for how we can work together to engage my readers. In the past I have created guest blogs, hosted guest bloggers, taken part in factory tours, competition judging, consultancy and events to name a few.

  1. My name is Karoline Solbakken. I am studying at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, and I have Coeliac disease. I am currently doing a project tentatively called «Gluten + me». «Gluten + me» is a light hearted documentary following me trying to demystify coeliac disease through a highly personal journey.Throughout the documentary I wish to speak to newly diagnosed people, people living with coeliac disease for a long time, doctors and the general public.

Do you have some time to spare for a chat about your life with coeliac; how it affects you and how you reacted when you first found out? It would be great if you could tell about your decision to become a dietitian as well.

If agreed upon it will be filmed by myself and possible a peer, and all footage can be sent to you for approval first if wanted. I can travel to you, we can meet at a cafe or at RCSSD, whatever you find most convenient. All questions asked can be sent in advance per email.

When all footage is gathered it will be edited and cut down to a teaser, tentatively made for pitching «Gluten + me» to commissioners. If interested, please drop me a pm or email me:karoline.solbakken@gmail.com

  8. Hi Carly,

I’ve been looking at your blog, and thought some of my food and drink clients would be perfect for you! In particular, Crabbie’s Ginger Beer, Baxter’s Deli Toppers and Hi-PRO Peanut Butter as they are all gluten free!

Firstly, Crabbie’s ginger beer is the deliciously refreshing alcoholic ginger beer which is available in a range of flavours, including original, Scottish raspberry and a lighter version. Crabbie’s is the perfect drink any time of the year and even makes fantastic cocktails, while also being gluten free making it the ideal choice for for those who want to enjoy a tasty beer.

Next is Baxter’s Deli Toppers, which are a brand new range of pickles created for foodies looking for the perfect finishing touch to their dishes. Comprising of individual jars of deliciously Spicy Slaw, Red Slaw that packs a punch and Jalapenos that add a kick to any dish, they are deliciously healthy and low in calories.

Secondly we have Hi-PRO Peanut Butter, which packs in over 33% of pure peanut protein in every mouthful and comes in both delicious smooth and crunchy varieties. Using whole peanuts and peanut flour, Hi-PRO contains more than 25% extra protein than mainstream peanut butters, and is a great source of fibre, niacin, magnesium, zinc and vitamins B1, B6 and E.

We are working with some more amazing brands including Eisberg alcohol free wine, Jack Daniel’s Sauces and Camper Vin among others.

Please let me know if you’d be interested in sampling any of the products, or need any hi-res images or recipe ideas.

Looking forward to hearing from you!
    Many thanks,
    Flora
